Supply and demand

The most basic of forces at play in human life arises from our bacterial existence. To the ancient times when all we know is to consume and survive. From that, we form the basis of our instincts in order to arrive at what we are today with a frontal lobe that can predict and simulate the supply while our demands remains controllable. Denying such fundamental by believing in a higher good stamped on our invisible soul is to deny our very own existence.

Such is the reason behind our insufferable attraction to those who are jerks and the sorry state of nice guys. If you give yourself away freely, that means you are not worth buying, if you have to actively push people away, then it must be a reflex to push people away from a valuable. As time goes on,people started to mimic the winners in order to gain a foothold in the evolutionary chain and we have the twisted weirdness that is in the world we are in today.

In my own muddling through of this life, I’ve suffered through my own shares of addiction to Negative hits from woman. Falling traps to games and emotional blackmail that I am unprepared for by my Asian upbringing. The western culture’s idea of love/courtship was very new to me and boy, did I think you guys are fucked up. It was all agony and games until we reached certain age I believe. Before that we had nothing to offer and are doomed to the game. As I age and woman matured, I started to notice a start contrast. There are two types of woman. One that teases the basic instinct of supply and demand by being a Jerk and ones that empowers and enables you. Or rather, ones who don’t need to resort to stroking the basic instinct of supply and demand.

On the same train of thought. I seem to be hearing more and more about people outright quitting even in this economic situation. Either I am the greatest motivator for life without shackles or they are all frustrated by the odd generational cycle that we are seeing. As boomers retire, the young ones are supposed to find more fufillment as more opportunity appears. The constant improvement is the psychological imperative for someone to stick to a job. With the economic collapse and boomers staying on longer in order to fund their retirement, more and more people quit from the frustration of being stuck and the depressing prospect of having to fund the boomer’s future retirement through tax. Making my arguments easier while convincing people to stop working for the welfare state.

I remember being appalled the first time I did my own tax. How 60% of what I earn goes into paying taxes. The taxes will only increase as the boomers outnumber GenXers by at least two to one and our pension system are under funded to handle such a shock. Are you willing to support two other person without merit? I am beginning to sound more and more like John Galt.

Otherwise, no special thought for the day. Too much idle time waiting for my PC to get fixed. I am impatient to get back into doing all the things I wanted to do.
