I feel that a great change is consuming me.

The chain of events started with a very deep concept that Danny was trying to convey to me, the man of the dance couple. “Dance for the point that you are at, not where you want to go.” That is the exact words that he used when a great revelation come to me.

It is however not just that one event which changed my view. A long time off of dancing and a sudden interruption of my internet service, left me utterly free, with nothing to do and alot of time to ponder about life as well as ample energy and time to chat with people.

Combined with the honour debt paid off, I am at the moment free from everything that binds me. Making all my thought process as independent from each other as it possibly can. Let me explain about the honour debt. It is something I find that exist in asian culture most prominently, without going into too much detail, it is a debt paid to all people affected for a selfish decision you made that you want. Asians live in cultures that promotes group living whereas the western culture are more focused in independence. A honour debt can be as small as going out on a date while everyone is harvesting the crop to big ones as leaving a team for another team. I have asian roots and I have retained this honour system.

My honour debt is with my dance partner. For a year when we just started out, she drove me from my apartment to the dance studio without asking for anything. This year I sacrificed my schedule and worked around hers to let her have her dream life. Dance school and a social life. Now that 1 year has completed, I am not compelled to give any more.

I have learnt to accept my own desires. To allow myself to go without trying to control anything.
